Spring

Spring

Spring danced
into the frozen world,
blowing away the torturing cold;
bringing the joy back to each face-
but not a sound she made.

Spring pounced
through the beautiful flower beds,
blossoming with every step taken;
breking the ice covering trickling streams-
and then continuing away.

Spring sang
around the shining towns,
diving into the warm sea;
lifting the warmth to everywhere;
shining it's warmth on me.

Jodie's Scary story

Scary moment in my life!

There I lay peacefully deep in a sleep and dreaming a variety of things when everything started to shake and move violently like we were inside a baby’s rattle. I tried to scream but not a sound came out, I was petrified. ‘What is this,’ I screamed in my mind just then I saw a black shadow move near my bedroom door. “DAD,” I yelled at the top of my voice. I jumped out of bed like it was a pool of acid and ran to the door not looking back.
I was greeted by warm arms, which lifted me up and carried me outside. I glanced up and saw my sister in my mum’s arms. “Mum,” I asked “what is this?” a moment of hesitation disturbed but the rattling of the house. She finally replied by saying “It’s an earthquake.”
At that time I had no idea of what an earthquake was but I went with it. We escaped outside and waited for it to end. It did but then came the aftershocks. Finally they settled down and we visited the wreckage in our house. It was like a monster had come and committed a crime scene. After we had cleaned up a bit and settled down I had thoughts rushing in my head one of them was ‘why did this have to happen!’
